CHOSEN
God refers to His people as “MY CHOSEN PEOPLE” [Is 65:9
NI] which includes all the children of Israel. In addition to people
being chosen as a group, God chose specific people like Moses to
serve Him in special ways. King David knew "The Lord chose
me" [2Sa 6:21 IC]. Jesus, who said what God told Him to "SAY"
[Jn 12:49], told His apprentices "YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME,
BUT I CHOSE YOU AND APPOINTED YOU SO THAT YOU
MIGHT GO AND BEAR FRUIT—FRUIT THAT WILL
LAST" [Jn 15:16 NI]. Today, God is still choosing people to serve
Him. When we pray for God's chosen people, we are praying for
people who were born chosen, the Jews, and we are praying for
people God has chosen today to serve Him. Yes, some people who
are "serving God" are self serving and self chosen and are not
producing "FRUIT THAT WILL LAST". Also not everyone
called to serve God is chosen by God to produce "FRUIT THAT
WILL LAST". Remember Jesus tells us “MANY ARE
CALLED, BUT FEW CHOSEN” [Mt 20:16 NKJ]. God can
reveal to you if you are chosen by Him. Are you chosen?
