NOT OF THE WORLD Jesus tells his apprentices, “IF THE WORLD HATES YOU, YOU KNOW THAT IT HAS HATED ME BEFORE IT HATED YOU” [Jn 15:18 LE]. Why would the world hate people who follow Jesus? Jesus tells us “BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT OF THE WORLD” [Jn 15:19 LE]. When Jesus chooses us to follow Him and learn from Him, He takes us out of the world. People in the world like everyone to follow their ways. When hate is experienced from people in religions who say they love Jesus, it may be because in their religious world their manmade teachings are not compatible with Jesus.
