THE GREATER SIN
After the Jewish leaders brought Jesus to, Pilate, the Roman
Governor, Jesus told Pilate “THOSE WHO BROUGHT ME TO
YOU HAVE THE GREATER SIN” [Jn 19:11b TL]. The Romans
executed Jesus on the cross but the Jewish leaders committed the
greater sin. Yes, those Jewish leaders suffered the punishment of
the destruction of the Temple, which Jesus prophesied, and were
exiled along with all Jews, including those who followed Jesus,
from the Promised Land for 1,878 years. Remember that Jesus and
all His apprentices and all His initial followers are Jews, so it is
incorrect to blame all Jews for the sins of a few religious leaders.
God loves His chosen people and still loves them even when they
sin, just like He still loves us when we sin. Do you love God’s
chosen people?
