FORGET YOUR OLD LIFE! Jesus reminds us, “REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE!  WHOEVER TRIES TO KEEP HIS LIFE WILL LOSE IT” [Lk 17:32-33 NI]. Jesus was talking about the end time when bad people will be taken away to a place, “WHEREVER THERE IS A DEAD BODY, THE VULTURES WILL GATHER” [Lk 17:37 GN]. Note: to illustrate how foolish manmade teachings are, some think it will be good to be taken away or raptured.  Jesus knew that Lot’s wife act of looking back apparently reflected a desire to keep her old life.  When we turn from our sins and our sinful life, we cannot keep the pleasures of our sinful life or keep looking back at the same time, even in our fantasies. Some of us may need to use spiritual warfare and God’s help to be free of our old life. Remember Jesus advises us “IF YOU OBEY MY TEACHING…YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE” [Jn 8:31-32 GN].  Are you free from your old life? Home, Basic,  Subjects, Scriptures
