READY FOR JESUS Jesus warns in detail about the destruction of Jerusalem, then stated, “JERUSALEM WILL BE OVERRUN BY FOREIGN NATIONS UNTIL THEIR TIME COMES TO AN END” [Lk 21:24 CE]. Immediately following this warning, Jesus describes His return. Many times in history, Jerusalem has been overrun by foreigners, including our current time when foreigners still occupy part of the Holy City. However, at the final time, we will see “JERUSALEM SURROUNDED BY ARMIES” [Lk 21:20], immediately before the final occupation, just prior to Jesus’ return.
