HAVE DEEP ROOTS! Jesus tells about another part of the story of the sower of seeds, “WHAT IS THE SEED THAT FELL ON ROCK? IT IS LIKE THOSE WHO HEAR GOD'S TEACHING AND ACCEPT IT GLADLY. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE DEEP ROOTS. THEY BELIEVE FOR A WHILE, BUT THEN TROUBLE COMES. THEY STOP BELIEVING AND TURN AWAY FROM GOD”  [Lk 8:13 IC]{Mt 13:20}{Mk 4:16}. Many people, who are in one of the religions of Christianity with their own manmade rules and doctrines, can develop roots as long as they are around others who have similar beliefs. Stronger roots are developed if a person has been helped by people who follow Jesus who told us to “TEACH THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE TOLD YOU” then their roots will be supported by the reassurance from Jesus that “YOU CAN BE SURE THAT I WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS” [Mt 28:20 IC]. Then, when trouble such as temptation or persecution comes even if no one is around, our roots are strong because Jesus is “IN YOU” [Jn 14:20]. Are you rooted in Jesus? Home, BasicSubjects, Scriptures
