LOVE EVERYONE!
After sharing the first and greatest commandment, Jesus shared
what God told Moses to say [Lev 19:18] when He stated “THE
SECOND MOST IMPORTANT COMMANDMENT IS LIKE
IT: ‘LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF’”
[Mt 22:39 GN]{Mk 12:31}{Lk 10:27}. When we love our
neighbor as our self; we do not want what our neighbor has, we do
not lie about our neighbor, we do not steal from our neighbor, we
do not commit adultery against our neighbor, we do not kill our
neighbor and we treat our parents with honor. In order to “LOVE
YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF” we need
consider what we would want and then do that for every other
person. At another time Jesus worded it in a different way
“TREAT OTHERS THE SAME WAY YOU WANT THEM TO
TREAT YOU” [Lk 6:31 NAS]. Do you love others as you want
them to love you?
