Jesus instructed us to make followers, “BAPTIZING THEM IN
THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT” [Mt 28:19b NI], teaching them to obey
everything He told us. Jesus never specified how much water to use
and the apostles considered both immersion and pouring acceptable
[Didache 8:1-3]. Also, during those days there were three types of
baptism. First, Judaism requires converts into Judaism to immerse
themselves fully in water in a mikveh or pool. Second, is John’s
baptism of repentance [Ac 19:4] and third is the baptism in “name
of the Lord Jesus” [Ac 19:5]. This description, ‘baptizing in
Jesus’ name’, clarifies which baptism and is not a method of
baptism overruling Jesus’ instructions, “BAPTIZING THEM IN
THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT”. Jesus knows, baptizing in Jesus’ name
only is a lie! Do you believe Jesus?
